Today's the day, I am finally going to start a No-Planaria regimen. I started by adding 3/4 of a spoonful (using the included spoon) to the tank.
While I didn't notice anything immediately, later in the evening I observed the shrimp acting quite strange.
While it is not unusual to see a shrimp hanging onto the duckweed and falling to the bottom of the tank, I have never seen this many of them do it at once, seemingly intentionally.
I did some research online and apparently No Planaria is made of Betel nut which is used as a stimulant by humans. Some online speculate that there is a mild hallucination effect on shrimp and fish.
In addition to killing the planaria, No Planaria will also kill snails, so we'll see how my tiny snails do. I suspect enough of them will make it to repopulate, but it wouldn't be the worst thing if they were gone.
